Contemporary Asian Cuisine & Bar

Contemporary Asian Cuisine

Taiko is Schilo van Coevorden's leading award-winning Asian-inspired eatery and one of the finest hotelrestaurants in Amsterdam. A chef at the height of his creativity. Schilo is not content simply to seduce. Beauty, flavour, aroma and texture are the instruments he uses to enchant every sense. We are currently working hard on the Taiko experience and concept behind the scenes, to make sure we can deliver the experience and service Taiko is renowned for.

Therefore, the Taiko menu is currently being served in the Brasserie, where you can enjoy our Brasserie Autumn Edition, while Taiko restaurant is set to reopen at the end of 2021.

Please bear with us and stay tuned for Taiko to be back. Thank you all for your patience, we appreciate you and cannot wait to see you again!

Ingredient of the yearExpand

Ingredient of the year

Every October on Taiko New Year, Taiko Cuisine celebrates its birthday. Here our new 'ingredient of the year' is revealed and our brand new Omakase menu is launched. After the great exposion for Hida Wagyu, wasabi, Kingcrab and soy, this year it is the turn of the Hiramasa Kingfish to take the centre stage in the much acclaimed Asian kitchen of Chef Schilo van Coevorden.

Taiko Bar

What first started as a playful flirt between kitchen and bar, inspired by a shared love and passion for Asia, has now grown into a new phenomenon within the last five years: Taiko Bar. With excellent service from some of Amsterdam’s best bartenders, supreme bites from Taiko Cuisine and a cocktail menu that makes you feel like you’re in a speakeasy in Roppongi, Taiko Bar translates the sophisticated nightlife of global cities such as Bangkok, Tokyo and Shanghai into the intimate, cosy setting of an Amsterdam neighbourhood pub.

Taiko Bar remains temporarily closed.
