Before earth, water, fire and air, the legends say, there was Akasha, the source of all creation. At the Conservatorium hotel, you’re invited to return to that source – Akasha Spa & Gym. Within our underground escape, spacious facilities for exercise and massages are just the beginning. From nutrition to meditation, yoga to Watsu, you can enjoy expert treatments, therapies and personal training offered at no other hotel in Amsterdam. The only place to start – or even end – the perfect day, discover for yourself why we have been voted The Netherlands’ number one luxury spa.

Hotel guests have complimentary access to the Akasha gym, pool, jacuzzi, sauna and hammam. Non-hotel guests can book a treatment from Monday till Thursday and enjoy two hours access to the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and hammam.

We would like to kindly inform you that our Akasha pool, sauna and jacuzzi are undergoing a renovation, with an estimated reopening this Autumn. In the meantime we are pleased to welcome you to our gym, hammam, private hammam, watsu pool, studio and five treatment rooms with a 15% saving on spa treatments as a gesture of goodwill for any inconvenience caused. If of interest, our concierge and front desk staff would be delighted to assist you in visiting an alternative wellness facility to use during your stay.

Wrap your body in a cocoon of Spirulina micro-algae to stimulate toxin release and purify the skin. This treatment involves full body date scrub, head massage, use of exfoliating glove to cleanse and remove dead skin cells, preparing the skin for the green algae and luminaria body mask.

The watsu pool is an exclusive treatment space dedicated to water therapy, a signature of Akasha. The pool is heated to an optimum temperature to enable deep relaxation and a journey through movement, freeing your body in ways impossible on land.

Holistic Classes

Miko has been active in the fitness industry for years. He tries to support people in not keeping the same perspective but to broaden the perspective on your road to a healthier body. His background is a combination of boxing, yoga and core body balance and strengthening.
