The most obvious for Conservatorium is music, given the hotel’s former occupation as the home for the Sweelinck Conservatorium, now known as the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, and continues to manifest through the instantly recognizable chandelier made of violins housed within the entrance of the hotel.
