Matthew Wong began drawing and painting in 2011, at the age of 27. Within a few short years, he developed a highly personal style, using intense colours to create imaginative landscapes. Van Gogh greatly inspired Wong, and his influence is unmistakable in Wong’s use of colour, thickly applied brushwork, and personal themes.
