Internship Cost Control Management - From January / February 2020 onwards

If you are someone who has good communication skills, a hands-on mentality, a critical eye for detail, can deal with deadlines and is interested to learn more about Cost Control and the Conservatorium hotel, then we invite you to apply for this internship.

What are you going to do?

Together with the Cost Controller you will analyse the operations within the various Food and Beverage outlets of the hotel. In order to optimize the profitability you will make daily, weekly and monthly reports reflecting the performances of the Food and Beverage outlets in the hotel. Together with the Cost Controller, you will attend meetings with the Food and Beverage Management Teams to discuss results and discuss your findings on how to optimize the profits in the outlets. You will be responsible for maintaining the Point of Sales-systems in our hotel. Together with the Purchasing Department and Cost Controller, you will control the stock levels in the hotel and perform monthly inventory counts. Finally, you will also have several cross-trainings within the departments of the hotel in order to get a better understanding of the operation.

Who are you?

For this opportunity we are looking for a student who thinks he or she is familiar with the following profile:

  • HBO Hotel management;
  • Excellent verbal and written language and communication skills in English and Dutch;
  • Commercial skills;
  • Time management skills and know-how to prioritize;
  • Confident with Microsoft Excel.
