Akasha Holistic Wellbeing introduces the first edition of the ‘Akasha Health Summit’ at the Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam
On Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 February 2019, Akasha Holistic Wellbeing at the Conservatorium hotel in Amsterdam organizes the very first edition of the Akasha Health Summit. During this weekend guests can expect activities and workshops all evolving the global conversation on wellness for all with a healthy, happy and holistic lifestyle.
What's it about
Akasha brings together a variation of health-defining doctors and experts in nutrition, exercise, meditation, sleeping and a happy mind. Visitors can subscribe for lectures, personal consults, workshops and masterclasses. Akasha is also organizing various activities, ranging from nutrition and psychological consults to yoga classes, meditation sessions, beauty lessons and state-of-the-art treatments.
During the first edition of this event, Akasha is proud to announce the following line-up of doctors, provocative thinkers, and paradigm shifters: Prof. Dr. Erik Scherder (neuropsychologist), Bianca Brangstrup (Vita Viva), Hanna Verboom (Cinetree), Juriaan Galavazi (Holistic Doctor), Maarten van Huijstee (Delight Yoga), Karen van Ede (beauty expert), Anouk Puister (Happy Sleeper) and Mischa Coster (media psychologist).

The Akasha Health Summit offers several ticketing options to join the weekend, from a wellness weekender for wo persons including a luxurious stay at Conservatorium hotel to a 2-day access summit ticket, a 1-day access summit ticket and also special mom-to-be summit tickets. You can join the Akasha Health Summit already when booking a ticket with access for 3-sessions on one day, starting from €90,- per ticket. Meet some of the doctors, provocative thinkers, and paradigm shifters of the first Akasha Health Summit
Prof. Dr. Erik Scherder
Dutch professor of neuropsychology, connected to the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam (VU), is specialized in explaining about the functioning of our brains. He has been appointed Officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau and awarded with the ‘RUG teacher of the Year Award’ and the ‘VU Education Award’. Due to this he was invited to the Dutch television show De Wereld Draait Door, MAX Masterclasses and in 2015 three episodes of DWDD University, in which the functioning and disorder of the brain were the main topic. During the Akasha Health Summit Prof. Dr. Erik Scherder will explain about the positive effects of movement on the brain functioning.
Hanna is a Dutch actress and movie director and founded Cinetree in 2014, a film platform by and for movie and documentary lovers. Next to her acting work, she is actively setting up charity projects for Get It Done and had her directing debut with the short film Alice that could be seen in theatres all over the world. During the Akasha Health Summit Hanna will showcase the movie ‘The Human Scale’ which will debate the question if the city makes us happy and how the world will change in the coming years.
Bianca is managing director of VITAVIVA, mum of four kids and a wellness-expert. For more than 17 years, VITAVIVA has been a reliable high quality online retailer of dietary supplements in Europe. Today, everyone is increasingly exposed to stress and environmental toxins that compromise our health, VITAVIVA works to address these challenges and to make a difference. During the Akasha Health Summit Bianca will host several seminars on the impact of supplements as well as private consultations.
Juriaan is Holistic doctor and coach. Body and mind are inextricably linked and in his work he helps people to feel fit in both areas by his unique coaching methods by which he shows you how you can impact your own wellbeing. During the Akasha Health Summit Juriaan will host several private consults as well as seminars on this topic.
Maarten van Huijstee
Maarten is Co-Founder of Delight Yoga and studied yoga and meditation with masters throughout the world for over 15 years, ranging from transcendental to more traditional Buddhist meditation. He has been teaching creative and business leaders for over the last five years and will explain all about the meaning of ‘Akasha’ during the Akasha Health Summit. Delight Yoga is also the proud partner for the yoga and meditation programming of the entire event.
