Accounts Payable

What are you going to do?

Within the Accounts Payable role in our Finance department, you be responsible for processing all incoming invoices for food, non-food and services. This includes registration, coding, reconciliation with purchase orders and internal distribution. You will post the invoices on the creditor and general ledger and prepare invoice batches and single payments. On a daily basis you will communicate with suppliers and will ensure that all control procedures are in place and respected in regards to direct purchases. Additionally, the following tasks are included in your position:

  • Process and check all invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes;
  • Distribute invoices to the department heads and keep track of the follow-up;
  • Entering invoices in our Finance system;
  • Perform weekly checks on the payable invoices and advise the Assistant Financial Controller;
  • Ensure that all control procedures related to direct purchases and payable ledgers of items other than Food, Beverage, Guest Supplies and Stationary are adhered to at all times, and any discrepancies are addressed;
  • Periodical reconciliation of creditor balances;
  • Give cross training to colleagues within and outside of the Finance department;
  • Assist colleagues in their daily duties if needed and take over during holidays.

Who are you?

Our new colleague is a structured, pro-active and precise Finance specialist. We are looking for someone to join our team of likeminded finance professionals that have an affinity with hospitality. Furthermore, you have/are:

  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in a comparable position;
  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English language (written and spoken);
  • Able to work under pressure and with strict deadlines;
  • Willingness to learn from and teach others;
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office, Adaco and accounting software.
