Head Bartender

The Conservatorium Hotel is looking for a Head Bartender! The Conservatorium Hotel Amsterdam is a new luxury lifestyle hotel, located in the Museum and fashion district. In the function of Bar Manager you are responsible for the Tunes Bar in the Conservatorium Hotel. In this bar our guests are able to enjoy classic drinks, exclusive cocktails and stylish tapas.

As Head Bartender you are responsible for the cocktail menu and you will lead the team when the bar manager will be absent. We are looking for somebody who is able to meet the high expectations of our guests by offering the above, cocktail knowledge, add a personal touch and eye for detail.

Main tasks & responsibilities:

Coordinating the mice en place activities and arrange the preparations for the next shift

Housekeeping Manager

As a Housekeeping Manager you will report directly to the Executive Housekeeper of the Conservatorium Hotel. Through a flexible service, planning, organizing, directing and controlling housekeeping operations you will maximize our guest satisfaction.

Main tasks & responsibilities:

To monitor service and room standards in all work place;
Conduct frequent and thorough inspections;
Be present in both public area as guest rooms to supervise, correct and demonstrate duties and tasks to colleagues of the Housekeeping Department;
Monitor and evaluate colleague performance;
Work with the quality program;
Inspect random rooms together with GM or EAM Rooms;
Work closely with Front Office, to make sure guests waiting for a room is kept to a minimum;
Work closely with the Engineering Department, to make sure all rooms and public area are maintained well;
Assign tasks to subordinates;
Responsible that all colleagues will go through an introduction program;
Ensure continuously on the job training is performed;
Ensure all housekeeping supplies are on stock, so the team is able to perform their tasks;

Handle guest queries;

Together with the Executive Housekeeper you will work on the payroll costs and the budget;
Work closely together with the Front Office Manager, Assistant Managers and Room Service Manager;
This position is very much focused on being present on the floor.

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

At least 5 years of experience within rooms division;
Currently Housekeeping manager, or experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager;

Room Service Waiter (Night)

Main tasks & responsibilities:

Look after the VIP amenities in the rooms
Preparation of Roomservice orders and bring them to the rooms
Offer extra service in the rooms (opening of the curtains, bring the paper etc)
Refill the minibar
Very independent job
Very hospitable communication manner towards guests
Ask assistance of F&B colleagues in case of busy periods
When necessary assist other departments such as Brasserie, the Lounge or the Tunes Bar

Night Porter

Chef de Partie

Our new to open Luxury Lifestyle hotel is looking for Chef de Partie who can offer local authentic dishes based on seasonal sourced products to set a wonderful culinary experience. The hotel caters to every taste with a signature restaurant, destination bar, brasserie and open-plan Lounge with plush oversized seating. Experience is a must in order to be designated a Chef de Partie.

This job requires a lot of independence and is therefore not an entry-level position. A Chef de Partie should have considerable experience working in a professional kitchen at a lower level such as an apprenticeship.

A person holding this position must be organized, have the ability to delegate tasks well and be able to work well in a high stress environment. Next to that you should be able to take direction well from either the sous chef or the head chef.

The Conservatorium Hotel has several Chef de Partie positions for Breakfast, Lunch, Brasserie, Specialty Restaurant and Event kitchen.

Chief Accountant

The Conservatorium Hotel is looking for a Chief Accountant! The Conservatorium Hotel Amsterdam is a luxury lifestyle hotel, located in the Museum and fashion district. As a Chief Accountant you will work closely with the Financial Controller in all related matters concerning the good function of the department.

Main tasks & responsibilities:

Focus at month-end financial reporting and other financial/government reports (Vat, Tax), among other:
Assistance or temporary replacement of the following employees in time of absence:
a. General Cashier
b. Accounts Payable Clerk
c. Account Assistant
d. Income Auditor
Monitoring of Accounts Payable reconciliations performed by Accounts Payable clerks
Reconciliation of Payroll account and Debit/Credit accounts with employees.
Assisting the Financial Controller with preparation of forecast/budget.
Preparation of hotel’s year-end financial records to external accountant review.

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

Experience at hotel’s accounting (at least 2 years)
Experience in managing employees (2-4 employees)
